How My Therapist Learnt More About Me
After evaluating my preliminary screenings my therapist started to communicate with me in the virtual counseling space. Here, she would send out messages asking me questions about my youth, my existing battles, my psychological health history, and any concerns I may have (like how my daddy has actually been diagnosed with bipolar affective disorder and one of my brother or sisters has actually a diagnosed personality disorder) to help her limit her best method for ensuring I benefit from therapy.

my name is nazareth and in today’s video i’m just going to be talking about my experience with better help um this video remains in no chance to discourage any of you guys seeing this video to not look for help or suggestions or counseling from the service better help this is just my individual experience um so if you require help at all or you’re worrying or whatever if you require recommendations please look for support whether that be with better help or another counseling service please get help therapy and therapy in general is essential and so helpful um for us because i understand personally you understand i manage a lot and you know my anxiety sometimes it gets the very best of me you know and it always feels excellent to have an expert help you understand um i’m the type of individual that i don’t wish to pour or vent or put a lot on the people that i love that’s close to me like i don’t wish to drain them with my problems although i will go to them if it’s something like destructive and i require to discuss you understand but i’m simply not the individual to call somebody every day like oh i’m so stressed or you know like oh like i just feel like that’s draining so that’s why i searched for therapy i looked for a therapist um better help was constantly mentioned in like other youtubers videos like kelly stamps that i watch i like her um she constantly suggested it or did like um she was sponsored by them so she would always promote it and i’m like you know what it was a point in my life where like i needed some professional help um simply some advice just somebody to listen to me um while i vent you understand i simply needed that help so i was like let me provide better hope a try and um so i joined the month-to-month membership for about 275 dollars um and i was assigned a counselor and you understand she sends a message that basically states like um hi welcome um inform me about yourself i sent out a short introduction about who i am um why i selected betterhelp for help and um so that was that so then she sent me another response due to the fact that whatever was online so it’s like
i think it was set up for like 3 30 so at 2 30 that day i got an email alert that i have a message from my therapist on the better help site so i log in to learn that she canceled so right then and there i resemble alright like possibly something occurred you understand like perhaps it resembled a last minute thing that she needed to like attend to i’m a very understanding individual if anything so i was like alright cool like despite the fact that i was very excited to finally speak with her to lastly you understand speak with her i resembled okay it’s okay you know so i just raved my day so the next day i got an email from her like hey i’m sorry that i needed to cancel but you can reschedule all right so i stated fine that’s great um what dates are you available so she sent me the dates that she’s readily available again which was another week out from the day that we were talking so i’m just like wow you know like you canceled on me and now i can’t like you’re not attempting to squeak me in like within the next two days or 3 days you schedule me another week out however i resemble alright possibly she’s hectic like maybe she has a lot of bookends that she can’t squeeze me in perhaps i’m just comprising all these like made these presumptions all right so i rescheduled y’ all the second scheduled meeting comes up a lot to you not an hour prior to we’re expected to meet she cancels she cancels so now there’s no reason i’m pissed this is supposed to be an expert
service this isn’t simply some like ranking thing like this is supposed to be professional this this is an organization like why aren’t you offered now i’m simply at the point like alright i can’t do this so i just responded very quickly so i even if they have the alternative to ask for a brand-new counselor if you’re not like pleased with the one that you had so i just instantly like just asked for a brand-new therapist because i was simply fed up so right away it much like entirely eliminates the conversation that you had with the previous counselor which i thought was unusual since i i wished to copy and paste what i had actually said to her about like my introduction because i noticed that as soon as they signed me to another therapist they asked the very same concerns like inform me about yourself so i wanted to attempt to like copy and paste what i had actually told the previous therapist to inform this new counselor but the messages were gone and i’m like all right like that’s strange like what if i wished to look over there what if like we were messaging about something important and she provided me some suggestions but which she didn’t but i’m saying what if and after that whatever is just erased so um so this guy says the same thing inform me about yourself blah blah and i’m.
much like you know what no i’m finished with this like i’m not going to sit here and do this whole thing over um i can’t do it so i simply can’t i they have a choice to like end your subscription or cancel i canceled and i requested my money bit like i was going to do another counselor but i was like he probably gon na do this to me for another 2 weeks too and after that when i go to attempt to get my refund they’re going to state oh well you were using the cert i don’t know they’re going to try to make up something and state i had the subscription for a month so it was no way i could get my money back that two-week mark when she did that the second time i stated you understand what that’s it and when you cancel the second time it was no urgency to try to fill me in or attempt to make.
